The MRD department is a well-maintained department. It is looked after by a MRD officer who is a medical graduate and over-all incharge of the department. The department has presently 5 numbers of staff members along with one cleaner. There are two computers where the records of discharged indoor patients are kept. The discharged tickets of the indoor patients are collected daily from the cash counter and arranged properly and also a tag is attached to the tickets with the hospital registration number. Further, a register is maintained of all the tickets. Tickets are kept in an orderly manner so that it can be traced out as and when required. Besides these, the MRD officer issues the injury reports of medico-legal cases of indoor patients and the department prepares the weekly reports of the different diseases. Later, it is intimated to the district authority. The carcinoma cases are reported to the B. Barooah Cancer Institute. The MRD department also issues the medical certificate of the treated patients where it is necessary.
